I hate this picture, but I wanted to demonstrate two things: a) what the flag kercheif looks like when worn (by someone with an off-centered widow's peak) and b) what lengths I have to go to for any sembelance of peace and quiet. Yes, folks, that's me, working in the bathroom. I have a drawer pulled out with the laptop resting on it and I'm sitting (fully clothed) on the potty, typing away. (When I don't have the camera in my hand, mind you). The one lock that isn't broken the Adult Wing of the house is in the master bath. Mind you, I'm not in there with a toddler out roaming around my home, Larry's out there somewhere too. He's locked out as well. (I now understand why women go a little homicidal when their husbands retire. GO aWAy, already! I want to shout, "Quit trying to better yourself through education and go get a JOB at Burger King! Just GO AWAY!!!")

I'm not going to lie to you--I had hoped to have some patterns posted this week, but Tucie has come down with the stomach flu. I don't see it happening, but I'll try. Poor thing--she was awake most of the night and I actually caught her sleeping sitting up in the recliner. Aslan, thank goodness, isn't affected. Poor kid. Spring break and all...

More later...

Here's another project from Long Ago that I hope to be posting later this week or early next. Mittens, scarf, and hat. I love the hat because I made built-in earmuffs that work great. Aslan now wears this hat in a pinch when I can't find anything else that will stay on his head. This is actually made out of *gasp* Wal-Mart yarn, Caron, and Starz. I forget who makes Starz, but it's a staple when you have a little girl. I love the stuff. Posted by Picasa

What insanity, you ask, grabbed me to make this, er, cheerfully colored steering wheel cover? I dunno. Just got tired of the steering wheel I had. Okay? You got a problem with that??? This pattern is going to be posted on by the end of the week. Felted, Brown Sheep Lamb's Pride Bulky, and easy schneezy to make. A fabulous project to use up all those odds and ends you have lying around. (Or is it laying?)

Either way, ignore my husband's thoughts on my happy steering wheel cover. He said it looked... gay.

Uh, okay. Shut up and drive.
